Hello! I'm Whitly Silva, and I am the creator of TrulyWhitty.

I am the sole creator of this website (and many others.)

I write the stories, pour the candles, co-host the podcast,

and maintain the website and socials as it continues to grow.
 

I grew up in Philadelphia, PA. I was raised as an only child, until I was in my 30's (welcome, little sister!) but despite my home-loving family, I have always desired adventures, authenticity, and pleasures far and new. I dreamed of trees and mountains while growing up in a city that's notoriously dirty and dominated by concrete and bricks, bricks, bricks. 

 

Even with all of my accomplishments, graduating a master's degree program, extensive travel, and exciting romances, etc. I didn't quite understand why the inside of my head was the only thing that didn't seem to fit in my "perfect" life.

I was also bogged down with overwhelming anxiety, depression, and religious trauma for way too long of my life. 

I simply didn't have the knowledge or tools to do life another way, to heal, and to grow. I acquired those tools through therapy, soul-searching, and education. I decided to be an entrepreneur, to forge my own path, and it turned out to be the road I was destined to travel.  

 

I have made it my life's mission to intercept people at this point in life and help them as much as possible. I believe in the power and promise of small businesses, the dreams of people who march to the beat of their own drum, and I find beauty in oddities. 

 

So many suffer in silence, and it breaks my heart to think of people never embracing their true identity, never exploring other avenues of faith, and never opening their mind to new experiences because they don't know how, or because they're afraid. 

This website is a passion project that turned into my career, despite the noise of many fans pretending to be friends telling me that this was impossible. I hope it inspires others who are dreaming similar dreams that I once did. 

Over the last seven years, I've honed my career with dedication, trial and error, extensive research, and I have many mentors, professional services, companies, and of course, divine guides to thank for that. I am confident in my abilities, in my craft, and I am happy to share all that I have learned over the years with anyone seeking a road less traveled.
